Investment Opportunities

Support a pilot program to rehabilitate one- to four-family homes in Newark

Building on the success of the New Century Housing Production program (for new construction), Newark LISC and the city have found $2 million in subsidies to pilot a rehab program in the North and Central Wards, in partnership with four CDCs. Funding is needed for acquisition and predevelopment.

Construction and permanent financing for three commercial projects

  • Crest CDC's 52,000-square-foot shopping center;
  • La Casa Don Pedro's 61,000- square-foot shopping center; and
  • Unified Vailsburg's 10,000-square-foot child care center.

These projects have received LISC funding and significant support from the Office of Community Services.
