Jump-start an acquisition/rehabilitation program
LISC’s single-family Acquisition/Rehab program was slowed by inefficiencies in city systems, so KC LISC convened a task force to redesign it. The result is a $1.7 million proposal to Kansas City for HOME and CDBG funds, with LISC as the financial intermediary.
Support the new Metro Fund
A loan fund of the Greater KC Community Foundation, the new Metro Fund will support the development of community facilities. Additional money will be needed to help CDCs with predevelopment and technical assistance.
Swope Parkway Grocery Store Project
Community Builders of Kansas City plans to develop a grocery store in a high impact area. The CDC has a contract with a grocer and needs support for development activities.
