Highlights

From 1991 to 2005, Living Cities provided more than $13.1 million in loans and grants to Baltimore’s CDCs through Enterprise. These funds helped the CDCs produce 5,015 housing units. With capacity building support from Living Cities, the CDCs attracted funds from many sources, public and private, for a total real estate development budget of $1.3 billion (more than 100 times the amount provided by Living Cities).

Key Partners

Living Cities’ partnership with The Enterprise Foundation has helped to establish a shared vision for Baltimore ’s revitalization. Housing and services are now being provided by the Maryland Association of Non-Profit Organizations, Development Credit Fund, and nine CDCs. Support also comes from the City of Baltimore , Baltimore Development Corporation, and local corporations, banks, and foundations.
